I have always loved accessories because they make life fun.  And that is what Crochet Happens focuses on; little things that add fun and color to someone's day.

My handmade business started out by tying to sell a few hats and scarfs to friends and coworkers to make extra money for Christmas and quickly lead to the opening of my Etsy shop.   Since then, I have expanded my online store to contain more fun items like my crocheted beards, coffee cozies, and pocket hugs.

My mother taught me the basics of crochet when I was a child and I later taught myself to knit. I enjoy tying new patterns and learning new techniques. I have learned to not only easily read patterns but to write my own. 

In my free time I enjoy visiting local yarn shops and admiring all the gorgeous yarn and knit knacks, scrolling Pinterest for my next "just for fun" project, and listening to yarny murder mystery audio books.
